Not Awful, But Too Expensive
Review Date: 3/8/2009 Reviewer: Anonymous
I feel like people are more motivated to post a review if it's negative, so I want to provide some helpful information (some positive, some negative) for those apartment-seekers out there. 1) I agree with the previous post in that the quality of residents seems to be on the decline. Their children are screaming in the courtyards all day, and residents MUST be cramming more people in their apartments b/c in the past few months it's been impossible to find an open parking spot if you come home after 6 pm. Very frustrating, given the amount we're paying in rent. 2) The office and maintenance staff have always been very friendly and helpful. A couple times we had clogged sinks or broken garbage disposals, and maintenance came within a few hours to fix it. 3) Don't believe the leasing managers when they tell you you won't be able to hear the residents above you, or next to you. The walls are paper thin, and we can hear every step the people above us take. Not so fun when it was a 7 year old boy who seemed to be playing basketball whenever he was home. 4) The grounds are very pretty, lots of trees and it actually feels like there's some nature - very un-Orange County. I really like the location, especially since it's just down the street from the lake in Woodbridge. I also feel very safe in the community. Overall, my biggest beef with Woodbridge Meadows is just the cost. It's not anymore expensive than any other Irvine apartment, but it's just ridiculous the amount we're paying for a 1 bedroom. That's pretty much the only reason we're leaving. So if you're trying to rent here, get them to go as low as possible on your rent. You have the advantage, since you're new tenants and there are plenty of apartments that have been sitting vacant for several months now. |
