Apartment Review for Turtle Rock Canyon - Irvine, CA

Every day non-stop leaf blowing,lawn mowing, edging, bush cutting, tree cutting and all you can imagine. landscaping takes a psychotic level here. If you like to go out in the evenings, work at night, or a stay at home mom or work from home forget this place!!!! It is only for early birds and old folks and people who do not care of the noise pollution, air pollution, about the electric micro particles being stirred up from the ground that by inhaling causes asthma cancer and you name it. So basically people who don't care about their health or their kids health and support the corporate system that is all about looks but not about living in their apartments. The system that rents a "space" for you not a home.The corporate office that believes that everyday landscaping with noisy and stinky gear is the only way to keep a place look nice! I don't know what we did before the leaf blowers etc.....the use of broom or rake is extinct. All in the name of corporate power and to make sure our life is fast enough. Well they really cannot afford to finish a landscaping job slower or the work could take a week. ... What?.... that it takes every day of the month and still not finished?? One may wonder. Forget the quiet living on the country-side here, everything is full of fertilizers, pesticides and the grass still has pests.Welcome to the plastic living!! We have been sold of the quietness of the place but locked into a long lease. Leaving now it feels like leaving after a long and bad marriage. Prices are overhyped and do not adjust fast enough to the market. Parking is good, you can hear neighbors easily, safety good, construction looks good but it is cheaply done. They used the cheapest of all appliances, that are super loud including vents in bathrooms.Feels like living in a fancy tent. Staff is nice some are just nice but don't help as not smart enough to understand and actually solve the problems so they are there only for bouncing you off, some are helpful and helping in a real way. So niceness is there, brain is not always. Actual units look nothing like the models they show you. The model looks beautiful. After you move in, you find that your apartment is a lot more run down. Some of the dog owners feel that the laws regarding cleaning up after their dogs and keeping their dogs on a leash apply to other people. Dog waste is everywhere. Bugs: If you like spiders, silverfish, and earwigs in your apartment, this is the place for you! The place is 12 years old and looks it. Dishwashers are too small. We have to run one of our sinks for three minutes until the water is hot. NO CELL PHONE RECEPTION ANYWHERE IN APARTMENT COMPLEX. The shower heads are too low. You have to duck your head in order to wash your hair. Like all IAC properties, you'll hear every bump and bang from your inconsiderate neighbors.
