Apartment Review for Sonoma At Oak Creek - Irvine, CA

Parking is awful. Unfortunately people are not using their garage for their car, instead for storage. Management will only do garage check if you complain about the lack of parking. Even that doesn't work. They don't follow up on the checks. Therefore the parking problem is not managed or maintained very well. Some have more than two cars. Residents are parking in front of garages and walkways. I've been here for over a year and still no solution. Definitely will not renew lease. It's definitely not safe for kids to play. Cars are speeding over the speed bumps. Kids are not allowed to ride bikes or play in the area but only in a very limited location. My immediate neighbor and I are separated by a wall who smokes all day long. He must have lost his job two months after I moved in. Then I noticed there was a lot of smoke in my kids' bathroom which is connected to the neighbors' side and mine as well (which is on the same side). Complained to Management and they can't fix the problem. Maintenance just shrugs and tells me there's nothing they can do. It's coming through the vents and the walls. He leaves with very little comfort to me. So, I bought an air cleaning machine. Last thing I need is someone's second hand smoke. Have two young kids. The plus side is that it's very close to kids' schools. But then again so are other apt. complexes.
