Apartment Review for Santa Rosa Apartments - Irvine, CA

my husband and i needed to break our lease because of a family emergency, they told us we could either pay $1900 at the end of our 30 day notice or be "rent responsible" until they rent out our apartment to someone else. The later seems like the better choice however, considering we needed to move out in november (when no one else moves) we felt screwed over either way. Per a suggestion from management we placed an add for our apartment on craigslist. (management told us that if someone came in looking for an apartment they were not allowed to sway them towards our apartment, but we could sway someone to come look at ours by posting adds for it) within the first week of having the listing on craigslist.com we received 2 calls which both changed their minds. then a week later we received a promising call from a girl needing to move to the area for work. we gladly showed her our apartment even tho we were still living in it b/c we are desperate not to pay the $1900 (we dont have that kind of money sitting around) after viewing our apartment she told us she'll take it so we referred her to the leasing office like we were told to do. When she arrived at the leasing office they proceded to show her other apartments and pressure her, after she had seen a few she decided she didnt want any of them and now we are stuck again. we brought in a commited customer and santa rosa apartments out of their own greed scared her away.
