Apartment Review for Parkwest - Irvine, CA

Skip to the bottom to avoid the rant: I'm here on a short term lease (a plus) and have been here 4-5 months so far. Parking is HORRIBLE. You are granted one carport, and one permit for a 3 bedroom apartment. The actual permit parking lot is NEVER, EVER full. Their advice upon signing the lease was to park in the grocery store lot across the street, which now is getting ticketed and they are towing cars. If you are home past 5pm and don't have a permit or spot to go home to be prepared to drive around at least 30 minutes doing loops wasting gas praying someone will leave and you're lucky enough to catch them and snag a spot where you can walk a mile to your apartment. Its so bad I've had to stop at my apartment with my hazard lights on to drop off my groceries because I have to park so far away I don't want to carry them. There are bugs. Silverfish are all over your apartment on the walls. We've had one ant infestation that went away after spraying (done by us not them). Last night we killed a cockroach that was in the middle of our hallway. The families around here seem decently nice, although they let their kids play in the parking lot, and if you have your windows open you get to listen to screeching children running after each other. Our neighboring apartment had 2 people arrested last week (assuming drugs). The police are often here, cars are towed every night. PROS: Cheap, 1800 for 3 bedroom vs 2400+ of other places. CONS: Parking Silverfish, Ants, Cockroaches Loud at night (doesn't bother me that much but it's full of UCI bros)
