Apartment Review for Parkwest - Irvine, CA

I am so glad I am out of my lease. This apartment was not like the model. The apartment had mold on our windows so bad that my room smelled like mist/mold. We asked them to fix the problem, and they had a guy come wipe the window off because the window look like it had water on it as if it had just rained. Well, it had not rained. The apartments were built bad and the drains from the sencond level were so old that they didn't drain the water away from the building. My window was always wet, and my room felt damp. The maintenance came and looked at the mold/windows. His response was you only have a month and a half left because you didn't re-new your lease, so just stick it out because the process to get rid of the mold is going to involve taking the wall off and the dry wall be replaced as well. So, I refused to live in a damp, mist/mold smelling room. The parking is horrible too. I got towed from kindercare. You can park there if you move your car at 5:00a.m., and if you don't then your car is towed. If you have ever gotten your car towed, you know the inconvenience and cost. So, the rent is over priced for place, and parking is not available near your apartment if there is any. The place is not pretty. The outside of your apartment feels like we are in Santa Ana not Irvine. "Park Westside" aka "Park Watts" rent is too much for the living environment, you would think this place would have a nice landscaping job, but it doesn't. If you live downstairs and a family lives above you, get ready to hear the sound of stomping from little kids that run around. The noise is disturbing, and the office doesn't care;the office when you call them make you go tell the people to stop yourself. They have a play ground and a huge baby pool, so families live there. So, you might get stuck living under a family. Oh and there is no HOT TUB!!!!!!!! The apartment place is not home. It is pure Hell. Parking sucks, the mold problem is so bad and they know it, yet don't care about your health enough to take care of it, noise is ignored when you address it to the office,no hut tub, ugly grounds, pets are allowed and barking is easily heard daily b/c people leave their dogs in their patios, if you face the 405 then it stinks like sewage so you can't even go out on the patio, and when guest come over and they walk ourside on your patio it is embarrassing b/c they say it's a ghetto apartment.............oh did I mention parking SUCKS.
