I moved here about five months ago and paid for an "upgraded" unit. Upon moving in, I found that my AC didn't work, under my granite countertop is a piece of wood that wasn't even painted, you could still see the printing AND a big footprint on it, my atrium floor was caving in when walking on it (turns out there were three VERY large holes under the toplayer from wood rot. When they finally came to tear up the entire floor, they wouldn't give me a garage for my barbecue and other things and made me leave it outside for over three days straight. There are paint speckles on EVERYTHING, my vanity mirror was all scratched up and they wouldn't replace it, my bathtub fixtures have been replaced three times and I'm currently waiting on the fourth since I've had no water pressure for four days now (can't even use the shower!). All the lightbulbs in the place when I moved in were 75 watts, when the fixtures have a limit of 60. The caulking around my toilet has been replace five times, one time after they left, my toilet rocked when I sat on it. After the last time they fixed it, I now have to pull the handle up after each flush so that the water doesn't continuously run. The vanity sink constantly drips and my brand-new dishwasher broke the first time I went to use it. My second time using the laundry room, my sheets and clothes get stolen! I had hope because it had a camera.. turns out there is no camera, it just "appears" to have a camera. False sense of security! I could go on and on with the problems I've had. I'm a pretty easy-going person, but my experience here has been crazy. If these ongoing problems aren't permanently fixed this time, I'm going to move out because of their breach of the lease agreement. The management appears to care and they get out a piece of paper each time I come down and write down my problems and act like they are suprised by all the problems, but I never hear from them unless I go down there again and again. They NEVER call me to let me know what's going on or give me the status of things. If they say they will be there Monday, don't expect them to be and don't expect a call to say they won't be there. I wish I had read these BEFORE moving in... I hope whomever reads this takes this seriously. With regard to the noise from the freeway, it's not the apt fault. Call me crazy, but I actually like it, it helps me fall asleep. Besides, if you close the windows, I don't hear hardly anything. I've never had a problem with noise from neighbors either. It seems pretty quiet, but it may just be where I'm located within the complex. |
