Apartment Review for Brittany At Oak Creek - Irvine, CA

We lived at Brittany from 5/07 to 11/08. I would still be living there, but unfortunately, my husband’s company transferred us out of state. When we inquired at Brittany about a particular floor plan, I explained about my allergies to dogs and cats and asked for an animal-free apartment; they were the only complex (out of 15) that said they could accommodate us. Our apartment was on the second floor near the pool. I was very concerned about the noise, but amazingly enough, people did not make a lot of noise, even when the children were present. There was no music playing - EVER! However, we did have a heavy-footed neighbor upstairs and we could hear her walking around. As for the management, I never had a problem with them or the maintenance staff. They were always pleasant, professional, and courteous. Since our apartment was near the BBQ grills our windows would get a little gritty, within a few days after my work order ws placed, the windows would be cleaned. The grounds are well kept, very clean, lighting was excellent, and plenty of parking spaces. Once a week the maintenance person assigned to our building would come around and clean off the area around our apartments; including the stairs and also in front of our doors. He would pick up our floor mats, clean them off, and put them back when they dried off. When we lived at Brittany, there were a few complaints about parking, but I think it just from people who were too lazy to walk a few more steps to their apartment. I arrived home from work around 11:00 p.m. and I always found a parking space within 500 feet from my apartment. As for the security, I only saw them at 11 pm when they would come around to lock the pool; I never saw them walking or driving around the complex so I cannot comment much about that service. Our move-out process could not have been easier. We set up an appointment for a pre-walk-thru and the process was explained to us, as well as the type of things that they look for when determining the refund of the security deposit. We were actually surprised to receive as much money back; the pre-walk-thru was almost right on. If we are transferred back to California, I will definitely move back to Brittany – it is a great place to live. You will not be disappointed if you move there.
