Apartment Review for Main Street Village - Irvine, CA

I am a current resident of Main Street Village and I am a very green person. I moved here based on the idea that this property would live up to its potential. Unfortunately, half of what they say is not up to standard or is not enforced. The preferred parking for Hybrid vehicles is a free for all for anyone....Land Rovers, Dodge Charges, Excursions, you name it! I have a hybrid and have only parked in the spaces a handful of times. The property manager also had no clue what LEV/FEV stood for....I had to inform her. They also installed cheap hardware in their plumbing, which has created leaky toilets and the need to replace the gaskets with new ones...creating more trash. Their outdoor watering system goes off everyday (usually in the morning, not in the middle of the night) and usually fails to shut off, causing a flood of water on the sidewalks. We've contacted the office several times. For a "Green" apartment complex, you would think they would plant landscape that minimizes water, not waste it. I am very disappointed in this complex and do not feel that I am living the "green" life that they promised for me. We apparently have elephants living above us. No hallway noise because we have an end unit. Finally, the dog park. When we moved in, the "dog park" was still under construction. It opened and it is merely a patch of grass. We also own a dog, and we moved in assuming there would be a place to let our dog run around. Nope. This is a concern because the property is located in a business district and a dog park is not within walking distance. The management is all talk. They hardly know their own property and usually don't know what your talking about. You have a complaint...they listen, bs awhile, and then don't follow through. I currently have a complaint with their corporate office. Maybe they will help....maybe.
